Job Summary

We are searching for a Procurement Specialist for our fast growing e-Commerce business. This role is focused on sourcing, negotiating and ordering of various categories of products within our business domain. Maintaining relationships with key contacts at all levels within vendors and partners, the Procurement Specialist will be one of the primary points of contact for our partners and will be established as a valuable resource. Moreover, the Procurement Specialist will potentially be responsible for developing potential partners and expanding relationships. The base salary for the Procurement Specialist position is $4,000-$4,200/month (Junior Level) or $4,200-$5000/month (Senior Level).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a key member of the Procurement Team in helping to define and deliver the overall Purchasing Plan/Summary and focused partner engagement

  • Work with multiple sources to collect product data, perform basic analysis on data provided, keep historical data on record for reference purposes

  • Update Product Managers on the products offerings and promotional deals, proactively assess, clarify, and validate Marketing Department’s needs on an ongoing basis 

  • Based on purchase demand and negotiation with channels, generate, track, and manage Purchase Orders in the company's ERP, ensuring accurate quantities in collaboration with Warehouse Team

  • Review, track and reconcile invoices in conformity with deliverables and coordinate with Billing Department in order payments

  • Assess current inventory quantity together with forecast, reasonably allocate available fund for different orders

  • Track manufacturer product lines and cultivate sensitivity towards change or upgrade of product category

  • Understand the partner intimately, how their partnership programs work, what motivates them, and how to drive commitment to an ever-expanding and deepening relationship

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, and all majors are encouraged to apply.

  • Previous relevant work experience is required for the senior level role, but not mandatory for Junior level.

  • Training of the product categories will be provided, however, knowledge of basic computer science is still preferred.

  • Good business acumen in procurement management and strategic partner alignment is preferred.

  • Strong initiative and motivation with a direct approach to accomplishing goals are highly preferred.

  • High intellect and the capacity of multitasking, high moral standards and sense of responsibility are required for the role.

  • Teamwork skills and creative thinking are preferred.

  • High adaptability to change is required.

  • Bilingual abilities in Mandarin Chinese and English  along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are all preferred.
